Tea Profile: Gyokuro offers the elegance and beauty of the famed Gyokuro teas. The harmony of slight astringency and natural sweetness. High in caffeine content which give you a boost in alertness but does not give you the "crash".
Processing Note: Gyokuro is covered with “tana” (black nets and bamboo frames) to shade the tea and increase the production of the L-theanine, chlorophyll and yield pure umami flavour.
Preferred Brewing Instruction: water: 3oz @ 160F/ Leaves: 1 teaspoon; Steep: 30 sec -1 min/multiple infusions with the next cup infused at a shorter time.
